As time passes, our skin shows the natural, inevitable signs of aging-wrinkles, sagging, sun damage. From fillers to lasers to peels, cosmetic treatments can smooth lines and wrinkles, raise sunken areas, tighten sagging skin, reduce blemishes, correct uneven pigmentation, minimize the appearance of facial veins, and produce fresh, glowing, youthful skin.

Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis skin therapy for men and women offers a new and advanced way to treat fine lines and wrinkles, redness, large pores, uneven texture and other signs of premature aging and sun damage. With just a few treatments involving no downtime, Laser Genesis can leave you looking younger and more refreshed.

Developed by Cutera®, the manufacturers of the CoolGlide and Titan lasers, the Laser Genesis treatment works by gently heating the skin. This has the dual benefit of stimulating collagen production and shrinking the swollen capillaries that produce facial redness. Subtle improvements are usually visible immediately, although four to six treatments are recommended for the best outcome.

The Laser Genesis procedure does not cause bruising or irritation. Most patients report few or no side effects; the most common is a slight redness that fades within a few hours.

Laser Hair Removal

Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, women and men who are tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair on the face, back, legs or other body areas may welcome laser hair removal with relief.

CoolGlide® CV Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light. Dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface absorb this light and convert it to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years.

Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.

Vein Therapy

Vein therapy is a non invasive laser procedure used to treat a variety of different vessels including, spider veins, deep blue veins, blood blisters (hemangiomas), vascular legions and port wine stains.  These unsightly veins are corrected by distributing pulses of light energy to the area which eventually destroys the vessel.  Veins from all parts of the body can be treated using our Cutera coolglide® laser.  Patients of all skin tones, even those with tanned skin, can be treated and expect to see outstanding results.  Many find that 1 to 2 treatments are enough although multiple treatments may be necessary for depending on the vessel being treated.  Please contact our office for discounted packages.

Redness and swelling may occur after treatment but lasts less than 24 hours.  Normal activities may be resumed immediately following treatment although it is recommended you avoid vigorous activities for the first 24 hours after treatment. Sunscreen is recommended for the treated areas exposed to the sun.

Facials

As we age, the rate at which our skin sheds and replenishes itself slows down. This leaves a layer of dead cells on the surface of the skin, contributing to an aged appearance. Facials help exfoliate the damaged layer to reveal the younger, healthier skin beneath. Some of the ingredients used can be natural fruits and plant extracts, essential oils, vitamins, collagen and elastin. Facials reduce the signs of aging and can also improve skin conditions such as acne, dry or oily skin, and uneven texture or pigmentation. Facials are tailored to each patient for optimal results.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. The particles scrape away the surface layer of aging or damaged skin, which is then brushed off with the microdermabrasion vacuum tool with no need for anesthesia. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths to produce healthy, glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.

Soft Tissue Fillers

• BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® relaxes wrinkles and gives the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.
• Juvéderm™ is an injectable gel that gently reverses many signs of aging in the face, including fine lines and wrinkles, crow's feet, thinning lips and loosening skin. It can also "plump up" the lips, sculpt the cheeks, and restore a youthful oval shape to the face. It is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to give volume and support to the skin. Because it is non-animal-based and highly biocompatible, no pre-treatment testing is needed. Juvéderm™ comes in three formulas optimized for the depth of the area being treated. Results last about 6-9 months and can be made to last even longer with a simple follow-up treatment a few weeks after the initial injection.
• Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.
• Radiesse™ is a synthetic injectable filler that reduces wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting the body's natural collagen supply. Composed of microspheres in a biocompatible gel, Radiesse™ is made from the same minerals found in our bones, so it carries little risk of allergic reaction. Radiesse™ can be used on many areas of the body, including the lips, nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines, depressed scars and oral commissures.
